ABOUT US

Postcard Art Exhibit

Postcard Art Exhibit, formerly known as "Twitter Art Exhibit", is a recurring international showcase of hundreds of postcard-sized original artworks created by artists from around the world. Founded by David Sandum, the event is organized by a dedicated team of volunteers who sponsor a different charity each year.

Our exhibitions harness the power of social media and community engagement to raise funds and awareness for charitable causes worldwide. Over the years, we’ve helped sustain a library in need of children’s books, supported an abused women’s shelter improving the lives of families, and empowered arts programs mentoring underprivileged youth—along with many other worthy initiatives.

We invite artists on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, and LinkedIn to contribute postcard-sized original works of art. Each exhibition is hosted in a different physical location, often in a new country each year, where the public can view and purchase the art to support the selected beneficiary.

Through participation, artists gain new opportunities for exhibition, connection, and global visibility—uniting creativity with compassion through the universal language of art.

POSTCARD ART EXHIBIT 2026

WAS ABOUT ARTISTS SUPPORTING
PEOPLE AFFECTED BY ALZHEIMER'S

Postcard Art Exhibit 2026 united artists around the world to create art for a cause.

Each postcard our artists painted became a small act of love, bringing comfort to those living with Alzheimer’s, raising awareness for their families, and helping expand the support and care they need.

We created, shared, and grew hope — one postcard at a time.

This year’s exhibition, was curated by Dutch artist Tessa Maagdenberg, to support the Blijft-je-Bij art program at Museum Beelden aan Zee — a groundbreaking initiative for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The exhibition was hosted at See Lab Project Space, an artist-run cultural hub just steps from the sea in The Hague’s historic artist quarter.

THE CAUSE

The Blijft-je-Bij program, inspired by the Meet Me at MoMA initiative in New York and Dutch programs such as Onvergetelijk Museum (Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam) and the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, invites participants and their caregivers to experience art together in a safe and inspiring space. Guided by specially trained educators, the program focuses on shared discovery and open conversation — helping participants reconnect through memory, emotion, and creativity.

Funds raised through PAE 26 will directly support this program, expanding access to art as a bridge to self-esteem, joy, and human connection.

THE WAYS WE MADE A DIFFERENCE

ART THAT CARES

Your original art cards helped bring light into the lives of those touched by Alzheimer's, supporting programs that nurtured creativity, connection, and moments of joy for patients and caregivers alike.

RAISED AWARENESS

Through your art, we opened conversations about memory, love, and loss—helping families and communities better understand the challenges of Alzheimer's while highlighting the importance of compassion, care, and ongoing research.

STRENGTHENED SUPPORT NETWORKS

Proceeds from every art card sold helped expand access to meaningful art experiences that foster creativity, conversation, and human connection. Together, participating artists and collectors helped ensure that more individuals living with Alzheimer's—and the loved ones who support them—could experience the comfort, dignity, and joy that art can bring.
